CAMPAIGN CAPERS
By: Pat Cook
A POLITICAL COMEDY
It’s the old war between the men and the women in this political comedy that will make a boring school election into a hilarious battle of the wits! Unopposed Tad seems a shoe-in for his second-year run for president. However, when he seems more interested in the perks of being President rather than the responsibilities of the office, his friend, Bridget, decides to make this presidential campaign a little more interesting. That’s how it starts, anyway. What follows is a series of tricks, schemes, spies and disguises to "infiltrate the enemy camp." And where do the students get some of their ideas for these backroom shenanigans? From the drama teacher, Miss Clovis’s play production of Shakespeare's Richard the Third, that’s where. This play introduces the audience to the wacky staff and teachers at William Howard High School as well as the competitive and creative students who will go to any measure to see their candidate win! This play is sure to delight any audience and bring a cut-throat political campaign to every school!
